A Plettenberg Bay couple is to cut short a 10-day visit to the city after being held up by four armed men in Table View.

Ronnie van den Berg, 64, said they were robbed of a gun, R6 000, credit cards, jewellery, holiday clothes and other valuables. His car was also taken but was recovered by police in Sea Point at about 11pm on Monday, two hours later.

Van den Berg, his girlfriend and his daughter were driving along Ten Sail Road to his cousin’s house when the gang knocked hard on the windows with their guns.
