he travelling Xbox Powerzone Roadshow will feature its final showcase in Cape Town on Saturday. Bands on the bill at Stones in Table View include Evolver, Bloodmoney, Driverlane, Black Hotels and One Sock Thief.

The funk rock Evolver quartet has been operational for the last four years. The band, who have completed eight national tours, recently accompanied The Parlotones and Wonderboom on the end of year Go Summer Tour. The tour saw Evolver playing at nine venues in 14 days.

Last year was a good year for the band. Evolver released their new album Get Up, with singles off the album, including Get Up and Magician, being playlisted on radio stations across the country. In 2006, the band was also given the opportunity to flex some television muscle, and they recorded a new track, Deadlines, for the second series of drama series Snitch.
