Fidentia’s R24m in UK bank ‘misplaced’
0 Comments Published March 26th, 2007 in General News. Tags: No Tags. The curators of collapsed asset management company Fidentia have found just enough cash to pay towards the outstanding school fees of the thousands of orphans whose trust funds have been plundered.
“Every day we are filing new claims so more cash will come in, but in the meantime we will make ad hoc payments for the orphans’ school fees to ensure they don’t get kicked out of school,” said Fidentia curator and forensic accountant George Papadakis.
Brown’s release follows a drawn-out dispute with the Scorpions over property initially offered as surety for the bail. The Scorpions rejected the offer of Brown’s luxury home at Sunset Beach near Table View as surety, claiming the house was purchased with illegal gains.
